Technical SEO Services From a Developer

Technical SEO that gets fixed, not just reported

I have done SEO since 2015 and I write the code, so the problems I find in an audit get solved in the same engagement.

Most SEO audits end with a spreadsheet of problems and a request to “have your developer fix these.” I have done SEO since 2015 and I also write the code, so I can fix what I find.

I work in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and JSON-LD. I check Google Search Console every day and I set up GA4 myself, including events and conversions.

Who this service is for

This is a good fit if one of these sounds familiar:

  • Your site has pages Google is not indexing and nobody knows why.
  • You run many locations or service areas and need a page structure that scales.
  • Your analytics are set up, but nobody trusts the numbers.
  • Your agency can describe SEO problems but cannot touch the code.
  • Your developer builds what you ask for but does not know how search works.

What technical SEO work includes

Crawl and indexing audits

I crawl the site with Screaming Frog and compare the results against Search Console. That shows broken links, redirect chains, duplicate titles, missing canonicals, and pages that exist but are not getting indexed.

Each finding comes with a fix and a priority. When you want it done, I make the change.

Structured data with JSON-LD

I write schema.org markup by hand as JSON-LD and match it to what is visible on the page. Past work includes WebPage markup on city pages and JobPosting markup on job listings.

Site architecture and city pages

Location pages work when each one has a reason to exist. I build them from real data: a hierarchy of state, county, and city, with its own title tag, description, canonical URL, and headings on every page.

For the full method, read the multi-location SEO guide.

I also give your custom pages a consistent URL pattern. That lets you filter them in Search Console and GA4 with a regular expression and measure them separately from the rest of the site.

Tracking and reporting

I set up GA4 events and conversions, Google Tag Manager, and Google Data Studio reports as one connected stack. I am Google Analytics certified, and the certification is current through October 2027.

When numbers look wrong, I can tell whether the cause is the tag configuration, the site code, or the report.

Question and answer content for AI search

AI search is still search. The method I use is question-and-answer content with JSON-LD markup, and I study how cited sources are structured before I write anything.

I cannot promise citations or traffic from AI tools, and nobody else can honestly promise them either.

How an engagement works

  1. Audit. I crawl the site, read Search Console, and check the tracking setup.
  2. Plan. You get a short, ranked list of fixes with the reason for each.
  3. Implement. I make the changes in your CMS or in code, or I hand your developer exact instructions.
  4. Measure. Search Console and GA4 show whether the fixes did what they should.
  5. Refresh. I schedule updates, because pages decay when no one maintains them.

Proof from real sites

I ran SEO for 13 dealerships at World Car Auto Group. That included city-based strategy, custom pages with structured URL naming for tracking, and reporting automated with Google Apps Script. You can read more on the World Car inventory pipeline page.

Casey The Home Buyer is a Django site with state, county, and city pages across Texas, Kentucky, and Indiana. Every city page gets its own title, description, canonical URL, and JSON-LD.

The World Car Careers site uses city-targeted job pages with JobPosting markup. Over nine months it averaged about 460 users per month, and 451 unique users submitted an application, according to GA4.

Traffic on that site has fallen since I handed it off, because the client has not updated the listings. Content needs upkeep, and I build refresh cycles into every plan for that reason.

Tools I use

  • Google Search Console, with regex page and query filters
  • GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Data Studio (Looker Studio)
  • Google Ads Keyword Planner for keyword research
  • Screaming Frog for site crawls
  • WordPress, including custom themes and Advanced Custom Fields
  • Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini for drafting and analysis, with every output checked by hand

Frequently asked questions

What is technical SEO?

Technical SEO is the work that lets search engines crawl, understand, and index a site. It covers site structure, page speed, redirects, canonical tags, and structured data.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No. Rankings depend on competition and on content, and no honest provider can guarantee a position. I report on crawling, indexing, and traffic against goals we agree on up front.

How long do results take?

Crawl and indexing fixes show up in Search Console first. Ranking and traffic changes take longer and depend on how competitive your market is.

Can you work in WordPress?

Yes. I troubleshoot WordPress sites, build custom themes, and use Advanced Custom Fields. I built the custom theme for the RE/AMP marketing site.

Do you create video, graphics, or social content?

No. I plan the structure, write the markup, and set up measurement. For creative work I prefer to team up with your designer or agency.
