Hire Turngear for Projects, Retainers, and Rescues
Four ways to work together
A defined project, an ongoing retainer, an urgent rescue, or an audit of what you already have.
Every engagement starts with a short conversation about the problem. I do not publish a price list, because scope decides cost. You get a written quote before any work begins.
Project
A defined scope with deliverables and a handoff. This fits a custom application, a data pipeline, an integration, or an SEO and tracking overhaul.
We write down what done means, I show working software at checkpoints, and you receive documentation at the end.
Retainer
Ongoing development, maintenance, and technical SEO for a set block of time. This fits companies that need regular changes but not a full-time hire.
A retainer works well after a project launches, since real use always turns up new needs.
Rescue
Something is broken, slow, or unstable and needs attention soon. I triage first, then diagnose and repair, and you get a written summary of the cause.
See production debugging and code rescue for examples.
Audit
You already have developers or a site, and you want an outside view. I review the code, the database, the infrastructure, or the SEO and tracking setup and give you a ranked list of what to fix.
An audit can stand alone or lead into a project.
How to get started
- Describe the problem on the contact page. A few sentences are enough.
- I reply with questions and an idea of fit, usually before any call.
- We agree on scope in writing, including who owns the work.
- Work begins with a first checkpoint scheduled.
Questions before you write
Where are you based?
I am in Fort Worth, Texas. Tell me where you are and how you prefer to work, and we will find a rhythm.
Do you sign agreements?
Yes. Scope, ownership, and confidentiality go in writing before work starts.
Can I see your work first?
Yes. Start with the projects and the engineering page, or ask for details on a specific problem.
