Fort Worth Freelance Web Developer and Technical SEO

A Fort Worth developer who also understands search and ads

Custom software, data work, and technical SEO for Fort Worth and North Texas businesses, from someone who has run both sides.

I am Joshua Hayes, a freelance web developer and technical SEO based in Fort Worth, Texas. I help local and regional businesses with websites, software, data, and search, and I work where those areas overlap.

Most Fort Worth businesses I talk with do not need a big agency. They need one person who can understand the problem and also do the work.

What I do for Fort Worth businesses

Why local businesses hire me

I have run the marketing side

I ran SEO and Google and Bing ads for 13 dealerships at World Car Auto Group, with monthly budgets from $10K to $40K across the stores. I know what a marketing manager needs from a website and what an owner expects to see in a report.

I build the software too

I am the lead developer on RE/AMP, a production multi-tenant SaaS. I started the codebase in March 2024, and I have made 2,500+ of its 5,000+ commits, so I can take on a real software build and not only a website.

One person, no handoffs

Many local projects stall between a designer, a marketer, and a developer who do not talk to each other. I can plan the search strategy, build the pages, and set up the tracking in one engagement.

Situations where I can help

  • Your website cannot do what marketing needs, and every change takes weeks.
  • You have multiple locations or service areas and need pages that work, not copies. My multi-location SEO guide explains how.
  • Your reports are built by hand in spreadsheets and take hours.
  • Your leads come from several places, and you cannot tell which ones pay off.
  • A tool you rely on cannot connect to another one.
  • You inherited a site or application that nobody understands.

How we would work together

  1. You describe the problem on the contact page. A few sentences are enough.
  2. I reply with questions and my read on whether I am the right fit.
  3. We agree on scope and a written quote before work begins.
  4. I build and report at regular checkpoints.

Tell me how you prefer to work, and whether you want to talk by phone, video, or email. I will work out a rhythm that fits.

Frequently asked questions

Are you based in Fort Worth?

Yes. I live and work in Fort Worth, Texas, and I take on projects for businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond.

Do you only work with local businesses?

No. Location is a plus when it helps, but the work is the same for any business with a problem between its marketing and its software.

Can you take over a website someone else built?

Yes. I work with WordPress, including custom themes, and with Django and JavaScript applications. I review what exists before I change anything.

Do you build WordPress sites?

I troubleshoot WordPress, build custom themes, and use Advanced Custom Fields. For larger or more specialized needs I build with Django.

How much does a project cost?

It depends on scope, so I do not publish a price list. Describe what you need and I will send a written quote.
